  1. The map shown in the top left is the Mercator projection, which is commonly used for navigation because It shows accurate directions and angles. However, it distorts land sizes making some parts of the globe seem bigger than they actually are (for example, Greenland). It gives a good understanding to students of the general shape of the world.
  2. The map in the top right is the Robinson projection which is a projection that tries to balance size, shape, distance, and proportions. Teaching the Robinson projection is important because of how more realistic the view is compared to other maps like the Mercator projection.
  3. The map in the bottom right corner is a Dot density map that shows countries with urban populations over 1 million. I think it is important to teach this type of map in schools because it the easiest to visualize from just looking at it. It would train the skill of analyzing trends.

To summarize all 3 maps, there is no relevance to be learning about those topics unless your going into fine focus where you need to study for it. Although it might be funny to look at you don't need any skills to make observations. To be applicable there has to be a relevancy to whatever class is being taught.
